Beautiful Art Enhancement work from our Year 12s

This beautiful artwork was created by Jules, Aimee, Poppy and Zara from Year 12 as part of their Art Enhancement lessons this term.

The mini project was designed to encourage the girls to explore beyond traditional representation, and discover how individual pieces can be combined to create new and exciting outcomes.

Initially, students created continuous line drawings of faces which they then painted using tonal colours. When they had completed their painted portrait,  they made a wire drawing similar to the continuous line pieces.

Finally, the students photographed the wire drawing using strong studio lighting to create shadows and took shoots with the wire pieces and the painted portraits together.

Two still life artworks were completed as an extension exercise. Very well done girls for this beautiful work.
