Whilst we cherish the enduring values of the School we continually strive to look forwards and embrace innovation.
We were honoured therefore to be the host School for a series of GEM ‘Girls Engaged in Maths’ Masterclasses run in partnership with the Royal Institution representing the cutting edge of STEM education. Students from the Sixth Form at St Helen’s were trained by Mathematicians from the RI to deliver a series of six exciting Saturday morning workshops to stretch and challenge the ablest primary aged girls in the local area. These budding young mathematicians came from Year 5 in schools including Holy Trinity Primary, Priestmead School, Pinner Park School, Green Fields Primary and St Helen’s own Prep School.
We strongly believe in girls’ ability to excel in science, maths and technology and are delighted that our fantastic new STEM building will be ready next year, further reinforcing our commitment to investing in areas that matter most to the girls’ learning. An amazing opportunity for all the girls involved – we look forward to working even closer with our community and building on such innovative initiatives.
