House Arts: St Helen’s at its very best

Rachel Petladwala, Class of 2011 and star of M.I.High and Citizen Khan, came back to adjudicate our annual House Arts competition where Year 12 girls take responsibility for the creation of a major thirty-minute production performed by the younger girls in their House.

For many of the girls, winning one of the categories at House Arts is the culmination of their School career at St Helen’s and each category of the competition is keenly fought over. We were treated to four superb performances as teams were challenged to write original content, produce and perform dramatic pieces based on the theme of ‘community’. All Houses performed brilliantly, and we were inspired by the musical, dance, artistic, acting creativity and talent on show. All collected prizes with Bruce as the overall winner. Rachel enthralled us with her journey as an actor and time at St Helen’s. We look forward to her latest release ‘The Complex’ in 2020!

Being able to write an original script, music and dance for House Arts this year has been so much fun.
