Giving back to the community and considering the environment and world in which we live, continue to be championed by our pupils.
The girls have been busy promoting making active travel choices through TfL’s STARS scheme (Sustainable Travel: Active, Responsible, Safe) involving both our Youth Travel Ambassadors in Years 7, 8 and 9 and Year 6 Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs). They have shown mindfulness and dedication in raising awareness, supported by staff, through initiatives such as the whole school Parent Parking Pledge and the ‘Walk on Wednesday’ campaign in Prep. Such is the level of commitment that Year 6 JRSOs successfully pitched to install new scooter and bike sites at every Prep entrance. The ‘official opening’ of the scooter racks was celebrated by 169 children taking part in the inaugural ‘Scoot to School’.
We are incredibly proud of our Green Flag status and the eco message is strong across the School. We are delighted therefore that all these incredible efforts, commitment and passion have been recognised as we celebrate being the first independent school in Hillingdon Borough to achieve a Gold STARS Award!
