St Helen’s is committed to preparing our students for life beyond school, providing them with the skills and confidence to be the leaders of tomorrow.
Our Futures Evening brought our parents and students together, engrossed in animated conversation that continued late into the evening. Such was the success of the ‘Careers in the City’ event, providing students with a wealth of careers advice enabling them to practice their networking skills and find out more about the opportunities and diverse range of careers in the City.
The evening featured members of our parental and alumnae network who shared their experiences and expertise with pupils and their parents. Through the Mentoring Programme which we launch in the January of Year 12, every pupil can request to be linked with a mentor from our parental and alumnae community.
A huge thank you to our special guests – they included senior leaders in banking, business, law and finance from within our parent and alumnae body. Our guests shared insights and encouraged interesting and wide-ranging discussions.
The panel included Thish de Zoysa, founder of Their Perfect Gift, Anjali Sharma, MD & Head of EMEA Corporates at Fitch Ratings, Lucy Chandler (Class of 2006), Group Senior Auditor at Sainsbury’s and Farin Harrison (Class of 1994), solicitor at Baker & McKenzie.
