Phab-A-Thon 2020

This week saw the launch of Phab-a-Thon – a whole school initiative which will run until the 3rd March to raise funds for Phab Week, a residential holiday for a group of disabled teenagers which also provides valuable respite care for their parents.

Each year twenty Sixth Form students jointly with Merchant Taylors’ School, organise the week and provide all the necessary care and activities for their visitors supported by staff. Valuable funds are necessary to ensure guests can experience opportunities they may not otherwise get to enjoy. So this year every student and staff member will cycle, swim or run and make a donation to Phab Week. Our target is 2000 miles!

During Phab-a-Thon, girls from Nursery to Year 2 will be clocking up their miles by walking or running a designated route. Girls in Years 3 – 8 will be contributing by swimming lengths and pupils in Year 9 and upwards will have timed cycle sessions in their lessons. The girls will enjoy a non-uniform day if we hit the target and raise £3,000. As ever we are incredibly thankful to our parents for their continued support and generosity – donations can be made by visiting https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/phab-a-thon.

Good luck everyone!
