This term, pupils in the Upcycling club have been hard at work finishing their book eating monster pillows. These will be sent to the Safer Places Charity in Hertfordshire, which provides a range of services to support victims of domestic abuse.
The girls filled the pillows with useful items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, books and pencil rolls made by the previous Year 6 group, as often women and children find themselves having to leave a difficult situation in a hurry. We do hope the children at the refuge enjoy the books and other goodies – a great effort by everyone involved.
