Pupils in Reception have been studying superheroes in their English topic work and have written letters to our very own NHS superheroes this week thanking keyworkers for their incredible work and dedication in helping to keep us all safe.
They also created posters for a shop window to encourage donations of cakes and snacks. These were taken by Ms Barton to Harefield and Watford General Hospital and presented to the doctors, nurses and keyworker staff who thoroughly enjoyed reading the words of support and encouragement from the girls. Their letters now take pride of place in the hospital staff room.
I just wanted to take this opportunity, to highlight one of your staff’s fantastic work in the community. Ms Barton, approached the Community Angels when we put out a request to get freshly baked cakes for the NHS staff, to Harefield Hospital. She’s been doing this for some weeks, before her working day starts on Monday mornings. The posters will go in the window of one of our collection points in Bushey, Hertfordshire. It’s so wonderful how even in these very challenging times, members of the community pull together and the youth of today are willing and able to participate.
Thank you kindly, The Community Angels
