Year 10 spent two days off timetable attending A Level taster lessons, workshops on employability and learning about personality and psychometric profiling as part of their introduction to the Futures Programme in Sixth Form.
The bespoke programme culminated in a Working Lives panel discussion and we were delighted to welcome back alumnae to talk about their professional lives. The panel included:
They spoke about the importance of being positive, solutions-focused and being open to ongoing learning and training. They also talked about how the Sixth Form had enabled them to find their voice, how they still use the skills they developed through their A Levels, and how they had all enjoyed being able to focus on subjects they loved in the Sixth Form. Above all, students were encouraged to take advantage of opportunities and to not fear making mistakes.
