Senior School Clubs Fair

With the co-curricular programme back in full swing, our Head Girl Team and 6th Form students decided to showcase the plethora of clubs on offer in Senior School to the younger students by organising a Clubs Fair.

Along with the vast array of Language, Sport, Music and Drama clubs, the girls discovered new passions and developed new interests by learning more about Robotics, Creative Writing, Debating, Photography, the Afro-Caribbean Society and Manga & Anime Clubs to name but a few.

We came up with the idea to run a Clubs Fair in order to give the younger students an idea of the wide range of clubs that are available. The Clubs Fair allowed them to talk to Year 12 and Year 13 students who took part in these clubs when they were in Year 7 and Year 8. Our aim was to encourage the girls to get involved in clubs they wouldn’t normally have considered joining.

We got a great response and were thrilled with the number of new sign-ups, most notably to the Italian Club and Photography Club.

Whilst talking to some of the Year 7 and Year 8 girls at the fair, many decided they were now going to take part in a club almost every day which is great news.
