We are delighted to share the wonderful news that after a rigorous and comprehensive recruitment and selection process, Miss Rebecca Workman will become our new permanent Head of Prep in September 2022.
Miss Workman was the exceptional candidate and the panel, which included members of the Governing Body, was unanimous in their view that she should be appointed. The selection process also included a student panel and all agreed they wanted Miss Workman to be their new Headteacher. Miss Workman joins us from Eastbury Farm Primary School where she has been Head for the past five years, overseeing a range of exciting changes and enhancements during her tenure. Miss Workman will bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, imagination and drive to the role and will look to build upon the wonderful growth and development that Mrs Lee has nurtured and cultivated in the Prep School during her time at St Helen’s.
I feel incredibly honoured to be taking on the role of Head of Prep at St Helen’s from September 2022; I will bring with me a huge wealth of knowledge, experience, determination and vision to build on the school’s already successful work. I am absolutely committed to promoting high standards and opportunities across the curriculum, as well as supporting children in finding and developing their own interests and talents and, above all, enjoying their learning.
I very much look forward to meeting and getting to know the girls, their families and the staff at the school in the coming months as I prepare to embark on this next exciting adventure.

Her biography can be found here.
Mrs Lee will be leaving St Helen’s in December to take up her new role at Winchester House School and so, to ensure an effective transition, we are welcoming Mrs Norris as Interim Prep Head for two terms. Mrs Norris is also a highly experienced and talented Headteacher, and we are enormously grateful to her for stepping into the role and for all that she will do to ensure that everything continues to run smoothly and efficiently until Miss Workman joins in September.
When the time comes, we will all join Mrs Lucas in saying an enormously fond farewell to Mrs Lee and to wish her every joy and success in her new role!
