Coronavirus / COVID-19 | St Helen's

In response to guidelines and directives from the government, St Helen’s School will remain closed for the foreseeable future to visitors as we focus on the health and wellbeing of our pupils and the continuation of their remote learning and academic studies. Pupils in Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 6 and children of key workers and those who are vulnerable may come to school.

As a result of these unprecedented times, all events will be postponed until further notice and all leisure activities including our Sports Complex, will remain closed also.

As you will be aware the government is advocating measures to contain the Coronavirus and we all have a responsibility to reduce the risk of infection and keep our community as healthy as possible.  The key messages within this guidance are that:

  • if you live with others and you are the first  in the household to have symptoms of coronavirus, then you must stay at home for 7 days, but all other household members who remain well must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days. The 14-day period starts from the day when the first person in the house became ill.
  • for anyone else in the household who starts displaying symptoms, they need to stay at home for 7 days from when the symptoms appeared, regardless of what day they are on in the original 14-day isolation period.
  • if you live alone and you have symptoms of coronavirus illness (COVID-19), however mild, stay at home for 7 days from when your symptoms started.
