Being part of a community is very much what being a St Helen’s parent is. We are incredibly proud of our PTA which works tirelessly to promote the School community by organising school events and to support the School and other charities by fundraising.

Each class in Prep School has a ‘class rep’ who liaises with the PTA and helps to arrange and support community events. Alongside the OBNO (‘Outgrown But Not Outworn’) uniform sales which are held termly, the main events in the year are the Calendar Sale Father Christmas Grotto, Christmas Discos, parent and staff Quiz night, Secrets Room and Fun Day which takes place in June, and is the PTA’s most important annual event. It always proves to be a wonderful family day out, including food and drink and a wide variety of rides, stalls and performances to entertain young and old alike.

Over the years the PTA has provided the School with two minibuses, play equipment for girls in Gables and Little Gables, backstage ‘walkie talkies’ for the Drama Department, instruments for the Music Department, equipment for the Fitness Suite in the Sports Centre, audio-visual equipment for the Rowland Brown Hall, a challenging climbing wall and retractable seating in Prep School Hall.

The PTA is a relatively small committee representing a large number of parents and teachers. All parents are automatically members of the PTA and are welcome to join a variety of social and fund-raising activities.
